Sweden stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 0.67%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.67%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST: AZN ), which rose 1.38% or 18.50 points to trade at 1,356.50 at the close. Meanwhile, SAAB AB ser. B (ST: SAABb ) added 0.60% or 3.00 points to end at 494.00 and NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST: NIBEb ) was up 0.54% or 0.20 points to 43.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST: BOL ), which fell 1.95% or 6.00 points to trade at 301.30 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST: VOLVb ) declined 1.72% or 4.60 points to end at 262.40 and EQT AB (ST: EQTAB ) was down 1.42% or 4.60 points to 320.20.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 384 to 354 and 75 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.00% or 0.67 to $66.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.94% or 0.65 to hit $68.15 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.41 to trade at $3,343.31 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.06% to 11.26, while USD/SEK fell 0.27% to 9.56.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 96.63.
