France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.63%

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology , Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.63%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were BNP Paribas SA (EPA: BNPP ), which rose 0.85% or 0.67 points to trade at 79.72 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA: ESLX ) added 0.49% or 1.30 points to end at 267.40 and Danone SA (EPA: DANO ) was up 0.45% or 0.32 points to 71.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA: TEPRF ), which fell 2.35% or 2.20 points to trade at 91.60 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA: STMPA ) declined 2.30% or 0.52 points to end at 22.11 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA: SCHN ) was down 2.22% or 5.25 points to 231.75.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA: ATOS ) which unchanged 8.11% to 0.00, Lectra SA (EPA: LECS ) which was up 3.73% to settle at 27.80 and Biomerieux SA (EPA: BIOX ) which gained 1.55% to close at 117.60.
The worst performers were Beneteau SA (EPA: CHBE ) which was down 11.66% to 8.94 in late trade, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA: UBIP ) which lost 7.15% to settle at 12.15 and Worldline SA (EPA: WLN ) which was down 6.64% to 6.74 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 295 to 191 and 89 ended unchanged.
Shares in Biomerieux SA (EPA: BIOX ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 1.55% or 1.80 to 117.60.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.73% or 22.21 to $3,021.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.40% or 0.27 to hit $68.34 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.26% or 0.19 to trade at $72.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 103.79.
