Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 1.62%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.62%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ), which rose 2.89% or 1,080.00 points to trade at 38,500.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bancolombia SA (BVC: BIC ) added 2.64% or 1,240.00 points to end at 48,200.00 and Grupo Argos SA (BVC: ARG ) was up 2.29% or 460.00 points to 20,580.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ), which fell 5.79% or 680.00 points to trade at 11,060.00 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC: CFV ) declined 4.98% or 840.00 points to end at 16,040.00 and Cementos Argos SA (BVC: CCB ) was down 2.87% or 290.00 points to 9,810.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

US coffee C for May delivery was up 1.27% or 5.00 to $398.40 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.45% or 36.00 to hit $8,043.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 10.40 to trade at $3,054.40 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was unchanged 0.00% to 4,103.75, while BRL/COP unchanged 0.00% to 719.59.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 103.86.
