Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.22%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Holdings SA (AT: INRr ), which rose 4.13% or 0.13 points to trade at 3.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT: ADMr ) added 2.47% or 0.07 points to end at 2.90 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT: KRIr ) was up 2.32% or 0.34 points to 15.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ellaktor SA (AT: HELr ), which fell 4.44% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.29 at the close. Thrace Plastic (AT: THRr ) declined 3.91% or 0.16 points to end at 3.81 and Piraeus Port (AT: OLPr ) was down 3.17% or 1.25 points to 38.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 66 to 62 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.28% or 42.26 to $3,340.66 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.16% or 0.73 to hit $62.29 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.26% or 0.83 to trade at $64.97 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 98.97.
