Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 1.02%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking , Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.02% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Metlen Energy & Metals AE (AT: MYTr ), which rose 4.13% or 1.74 points to trade at 43.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Profile Syst (AT: PRFr ) added 3.39% or 0.19 points to end at 5.80 and Intralot (AT: INLr ) was up 3.24% or 0.03 points to 1.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT: OLTr ), which fell 6.71% or 2.30 points to trade at 32.00 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT: OLYr ) declined 2.13% or 0.05 points to end at 2.30 and HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT: HEPr ) was down 1.90% or 0.15 points to 7.74.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 76 to 44 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Profile Syst (AT: PRFr ) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.39% or 0.19 to 5.80.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.48% or 47.89 to $3,178.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.71% or 0.44 to hit $62.06 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.59% or 0.38 to trade at $64.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 100.96.
