Mexico stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.50%

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV: TLEVISACPO ), which rose 6.09% or 0.44 points to trade at 7.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV: ALFAA ) added 3.50% or 0.51 points to end at 15.07 and Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV: MEGACPO ) was up 2.23% or 1.17 points to 53.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Regional SAB de CV (BMV: RA ), which fell 2.27% or 3.41 points to trade at 147.00 at the close. Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV: GCARSOA1 ) declined 2.18% or 2.83 points to end at 126.90 and Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV: KOFUBL ) was down 1.96% or 3.50 points to 175.14.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 123 to 120 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 2.06% or 66.95 to $3,180.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.24% or 0.79 to hit $62.88 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.19% or 0.79 to trade at $65.84 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.02% to 19.38, while EUR/MXN rose 0.04% to 21.66.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 100.90.
