Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index down 0.75%

Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Power , Mining and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index declined 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Polyus PJSC (MCX: PLZL ), which rose 3.05% or 56.40 points to trade at 1,908.00 at the close. Meanwhile, TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref (MCX: TATN_p ) added 1.00% or 6.10 points to end at 618.60 and Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX: CBOM ) was up 0.99% or 0.07 points to 6.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Severstal PJSC (MCX: CHMF ), which fell 2.16% or 23.00 points to trade at 1,040.00 at the close. NOVATEK PJSC (MCX: NVTK ) declined 2.16% or 23.20 points to end at 1,050.20 and OK Rusal MKPAO (MCX: RUAL ) was down 1.61% or 0.50 points to 30.17.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 181 to 58 and 10 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 2.30% to 31.11 a new 6-months low.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.11% or 3.60 to $3,346.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.76% or 0.51 to hit $66.49 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.29 to trade at $68.51 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.41% to 78.75, while EUR/RUB fell 0.19% to 92.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 96.65.
