Poland stocks lower at close of trade; WIG30 down 0.85%

Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Information Technology , Energy and Banking sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.85%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Allegro (WA: ALEP ), which rose 2.58% or 0.83 points to trade at 33.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Kruk SA (WA: KRU ) added 1.71% or 6.70 points to end at 399.20 and 11BIT (WA: 11B ) was up 1.44% or 3.00 points to 212.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA: LPPP ), which fell 3.07% or 475.00 points to trade at 15,020.00 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) declined 2.93% or 4.90 points to end at 162.30 and Santander Bank Polska SA (WA: SPL1 ) was down 2.68% or 13.70 points to 496.90.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 313 to 218 and 98 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.74% or 0.45 to $61.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.61% or 0.39 to hit $64.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.88% or 61.91 to trade at $3,356.91 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was up 0.23% to 4.26, while USD/PLN fell 0.36% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 99.15.
